“Two beautiful and bold-as brass players, sketched during a performance by Rude, Annie’s jazz-ska-funk band, at the old Vortex club in Stoke Newington, north London. The band was Annie and the much-missed Mr Beckett, with Jennifer (then Ian) Maidman on bass and Liam Genockey on drums.
Annie kindly played some very rude trombone on Get Shaggin’ and some very rousing on People Rose, on our first album Play.”
